This 1,555 sq.ft. weekend retreat at Pajaro Dunes on Monterey Bay is nestled among sand dunes, and accessed only via a wooden boardwalk. A low ziggurat from above and a soaring pavilion of planes from below, one grand room houses living, dining, kitchen and master bed, all with a sweeping vista of the Pacific Ocean. A private guest suite occupies a southeast "cube." His & her dressing rooms and baths occupy a twin northeast "cube." Colors only match the environment. There's nothing superfluous, nothing to distract from the clear line of the horizon and the rhythmic, restful sound of the surf.
