Starting with an already handsome home, the homeowner envisioned an even more beautiful one. Following extensive research of Eastlake, or Stick Victorian style in general, and the historic evolution of this home and its carpenter-inspired details in particular, work commenced to restore lost components and add new, but appropriate ones. A two-story bay window, similar but smaller than the existing gabled front, was added, along with arched trusses under the eaves, restored transom windows, an extended lower deck and new deck railings, having hand wrought iron work and carved newel posts. While restoring this fine home, quality, elegance and dignity were added, consistent with its historic period.
