Having purchased the “ugly duckling” in San Francisco’s beautiful Lake Street neighborhood adjacent to the Presidio, a major renovation/restoration was in order to make this family home as handsome as its neighbors. Stucco was replaced on the exterior with natural cedar shingles. New windows were framed with broad wood trim above raised paneling; all painted an elegant gloss black finish. The interior spaces received a similar enhancement, including a gracious Master Suite with the Bath shown here, which combines a traditional vanity with a contemporary tub and a spacious shower.
